The Advocates for Nisene Marks State Park
Support Preservation of Koch Property and Nisene 2 Sea Corridor

In January of 1999, the Board of Directors of the Advocates for Nisene Marks State Park passed a formal resolution to support The Nisene 2 Sea Open Space Alliance’s goal of acquiring the Koch Property as an addition to The Forest of Nisene Marks State Park. The Advocates communicated their position to the State Department of Parks and Recreation citing, among reasons for their support, the historic and ongoing heavy public use of the Koch Property for access to Nisene Marks.

In March of 2001, the Advocates again formally voiced their support for acquisition of the Koch Property as one of their recommendations for the The Forest of Nisene Marks State Park General Plan.
